Not a fan of the other traps, since i don't have the feeling they are cost efficient. Traps - Very rare murder pits for a lot of expensive enemy troops if I have a lot of wood and no other resources. You can sink in a lot of hours in nice castles. That is the nice thing about Stronghold you can make your castle quite individual. Normally this is the best possible castle but not all maps allow it.Īesthetics - Whatever floats your boat. Depending on enemies i make the walls thicker.Įasy defendable environment - Two Square Towers at the choke point and a small gatehouse with Normal Walls. Can be upgraded from medium castle and allows safe building space as much as you need. Sadly not upgradeable from small castle.Įnough Resources - Same as the castle before just with additional square towers and new "cells". ![]() Can be bigger than small Castle and allows some decent economy. Some Resources - One Square Tower in each corner and a Square with normal Walls. Protects against a lot of enemies very well, keeps slaves at bay and helps you get your economy running. Nearly no Resources - One Square Tower close to the keep and low walls around everything i have. Depending on the mission and if i want function or aesthetics. ![]()
